ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for the next in our FREE virtual program Stay at Home Speaker Series! This webinar will be a unique opportunity to hear directly from HMS Biologist-Naturalist Bracken Brown.

Farmland Raptor Project relies almost exclusively on citizen scientists to collects state wide observations of our four farm and grassland dependent raptors, barn owl, American kestrel, short-eared owl, and northern harrier. With changes in farming practices, land management, and increased pressure from rodenticides are all impacting these iconic species.

Learn how this project, facilitated by Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, is taking steps to promote grassroot conservation for these species at a statewide level so we can continue to enjoy the benefits of having these farmland sentinels around.
