Get the chance to meet a LIVE bat and to learn why bats are important, how we can help protect them, and how they are vital to the health of our environment.
Participants will dive into the world of bats and explore the more than 1,400 species of bats throughout our planet. Learn about their natural behaviors, the roles they play in the environment, threats to their population and how you can help bats in your very own backyard. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary provides essential, natural habitat for bats. Join us as some of rehabilitated bats are returned to the wild for an end of the program bat release.
Witness the release of rehabilitated bats back into the wild at Hawk Mountain as the conclusion of this program!
