Take a tour of the late summer sky from the top of Hawk Mountain with friends from Moravian University!
After a short introduction to the celestial celebrities of the evening, we’ll journey outdoors to identify constellations, see the crescent moon, planets Mars and Saturn, double stars, open clusters, and galaxies through high-quality telescopes. Bring a flashlight and binoculars, and be prepared to be WOWED by some awesome views.
Moravian will supply telescopes for viewing. The observing session will be preceded by a program in Hawk Mountain's outdoor amphitheater, highlighting fun things to do in astronomy and interesting objects to observe.
Rain date is Saturday, August 31.
