Our new series Wild Women on the Mountain empowers women to engage in outdoor adventures and learn new skills in a welcoming atmosphere.
Join other women for a gentle kayak paddle on Leaser Lake as we search for waterfowl, shorebirds, and female fellowship! Kayaking allows us to access habitat from a different angle and to listen for unusual or hard-to-hear species. No experience required. All participants will be given an introduction to kayaking that includes basic strokes, boat safety, and flat water maneuvers.
All kayak and safety equipment provided. Certified lifeguard will guide. Dress in layers and bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water. Those with their own kayaks are welcome. Binoculars available. Meets at Leaser Lake.
